Sultan bin Tahnoon: Emirati Women’s Day, Renewing the Pledge and a Mark of Pride in the Nation’s Journey


His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Frontline Heroes Office, affirmed that the adoption by Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation,” Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, of the theme “Hand in Hand, We Celebrate 50” for Emirati Women’s Day 2025 embodies half a century of continuous giving and expresses profound gratitude for the pivotal role of Emirati women in the nation’s development and renaissance.

His Excellency said: “Thanks to the vision and support of our wise leadership, Emirati women have proven their ability to achieve remarkable accomplishments even under the most challenging circumstances. They are genuine partners in the sustainable development journey, serving on the frontlines across diverse fields, holding leadership and decision-making positions, and excelling in innovation, science, space, and the economy.”

He added: “Over the past fifty years, under the guidance of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the journey of Emirati women has become a global model for empowerment and the unleashing of creative potential. They have secured a distinguished position on both the regional and international stage, becoming a source of pride for us all. What Emirati women have achieved is not a passing milestone, but the fruit of a long-term strategic vision and an unwavering belief in their capacity for creativity and excellence.”

His Excellency also praised the pioneering role of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak in establishing a comprehensive framework for supporting women since the founding of the Union, underscoring that this inspiring journey strengthens the sustainability of comprehensive development and cements the position of Emirati women as a role model both regionally and globally.
