Bahraini camels have continued to achieve remarkable success at the seventh edition of the Saudi Crown Prince Camel Festival, winning championships in the Luqaya category competitions.
The event is being held under the supervision of the Saudi Camel Federation at the historic Taif track.
Al Shahiniya, owned by His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Supreme Council for Youth and Sport chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, won the First Cup in the 4km Luqaya (young female camels) category.
The kingdom then maintained a strong presence among elite GCC competitors, after Samsam, also owned by Shaikh Nasser, won the 4km Luqaya category Open Cup.
Sayhad, another one of Shaikh Nasser’s camels, meanwhile, came in second place in the same competition, further underscoring Bahraini dominance in the competition.
