A number of travel agents and tourism industry stakeholders from Bahrain took part in a roadshow in China.
The initiative, organised by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA) in Shanghai and Guangzhou, was aimed at promoting the kingdom’s diverse tourism offerings and strengthen co-operation with leading Chinese destination management and tour companies.
The roadshow was part of the Tourism Strategy 2022-2026, which seeks to expand international partnerships and enhance Bahrain’s presence in the Chinese market.
The event aimed to open new horizons for bilateral collaboration and develop tailored tourism programmes that appeal to Chinese travellers.
Over the course of four days, the delegation held more than 140 bilateral meetings with prominent travel and tourism companies and tour operators, including Ctrip (Trip.com Group), Tuniu Travel, Shanghai Airlines Holidays, Guangzhou China Travel Service and CYTS Tours Holding.
The meetings also saw strong participation from travel media representatives, influencers, airline companies and luxury tour organisers.
