Several landmarks in Manama were lit in blue to mark United Nations Day, reflecting Bahrain’s support for the UN’s role in promoting peace, development, and international co-operation.

As part of the 80th anniversary celebrations of the United Nations, the UN Office in Bahrain, in co-operation with the Youth Affairs Ministry and the Bahrain Scientific Centre for Sustainable Development Goals, is launching a series of activities highlighting the role of youth in promoting development and peace. The events will take place from today to Monday at the Bahrain Scientific Centre for Sustainable Development Goals in Isa Town.
The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) announced the organisation of the Urban Heat Resilience Hackathon, featuring a select group of young innovators and creators from across Bahrain.
The hackathon aims to stimulate young minds to design innovative and sustainable solutions to address the rising temperatures in cities and enhance their climate resilience.
