Government Hospitals, in co-operation with the Bahrain Trust Foundation, has opened a new mini-school at the Psychiatric Hospital, the sixth of its kind in Bahrain. The initiative aims to strengthen children’s mental-health support by providing an educational environment within the hospital to complement therapeutic care.
Government Hospitals CEO Dr Mariam Al Jalahma said the school represents an important step in improving services for children facing psychological and behavioural challenges, offering tailored programmes that help them develop coping skills and maintain social and educational progress during treatment.
Bahrain Trust Foundation chairwoman Dr Fatima Al Blooshi noted that more than 10,500 children have benefited from the foundation’s hospital schools so far.
