Bahrain came together as one to celebrate the 54th National Day with pomp and splendour, even as rains lashed several parts of the kingdom yesterday (Dec 16).
A series of events were staged across the island to commemorate the occasion, nodding to the spirit of unity in the community.
One of the major highlights was the fireworks display that lit up the skies at Bahrain International Circuit in Sakhir. The event witnessed a big turnout of families eager to watch the dazzling display.
Various shopping malls also organised a range of entertainment – from face painting and stilt walkers to traditional national day-themed activities – which will continue in the following days.
