Canadian philanthropist and Mothers’ Union worldwide president Kathleen Snow completed the Bahrain leg of her global fundraising challenge, with a 10km run starting from Bahrain Fort.
The run is part of Ms Snow’s international challenge to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Mothers’ Union with runs in 15 dioceses around the world.
Ms Snow arrived in the kingdom earlier this week to attend the three-day Anglican Diocesan Synod of Cyprus and the Gulf.
Members of the public ran alongside the charity champion and cheered her on, as she completed the second of 15 expected runs, the first of which was in Fredericton, Canada.
The Bahrain run highlighted both the international reach of Mothers’ Union and its growing presence in the kingdom.
