A campaigning website called Our Responsibility continues to help struggling families and individuals in Bahrain access financial support for a wide range of challenges.
So far, 65 cases have been received through the platform, covering everything from debt settlements to educational sponsorship, renovation projects and food support initiatives during Ramadan.
The website was introduced to make it easier for struggling people to seek and receive support, especially during the holy month.
What started as a Instagram page in 2023 has since evolved into a fully-fledged non-profit registered organisation dedicated to supporting orphans, vulnerable children and families in need.
“We created this platform to make it easier for people to both seek help and offer support,” the organisation’s founder Rayana Sayyar told the GDN.
“It clearly lists all open cases where donations can be made, and it also allows individuals to submit their own cases.”
The 33-year-old explained that once a case is submitted, it undergoes a thorough review process involving several authorities, including the Social Development Ministry, to verify the authenticity of each request.
