This is Real Madrid

Last night I watched the Spanish Super Cup final game between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid which was played at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

It was the first time to be hosted in the Middle East and also the first time to be played in three games as there was a semifinal between Barcelona and Atletico Madrid that was one of the best matches i have ever seen in my life and Real Madrid faced Valencia in a one side game.

What i stopped at is how the final game ended, the first 90 minutes of the game was tactical mostly in the first half and the end of the second half was a bit competitive and thrilling.

After the referee whistled for an extra time, the thrill got more higher, till Real Madrid's Uruguayan Federico Valverde who plays as a midfielder tackled the most dangerous threat to Real Madrid's goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois by a counter attack from Álvaro Morata.

Of course the referee red carded Valverde, but after what? Where my goal ... any Atletico Madrid fan would say that, in a strike that would have been netted in for 90%.

Later on José María Sánchez whistled for penalty kicks, or as football fans call it kicks of luck as Real Madrid stole the show and the trophy.

Where is the sportsmanship? this game is supposed to be entertaining and fair, I am not a fan of Spanish football, but I have always noticed that Real Madrid always play it that way, I guess this is how their captain Sergio Ramos taught them.
