A plague of locust has descended upon Bahrain.
A number of videos have circulated online showing the swarms covering Bahrain’s skies, mostly in areas in the Northern Governorate.
The locust have been carried by the strong wind currents from Saudi Arabia.
It is still unclear how long they will be in Bahrain, depending on the winds, or the adverse effects they will have on agriculture.
