Call goes out to stay at home and practice social distancing


Bahrainis and residents have once again been urged to stay at home and practice social distancing, GDNonline reported tonight.

Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh said it was urgent for people to follow the guidelines and abide by the public gathering ban in order to limit the spread of the Covid-19.

She is speaking at a press conference alongside Covid-19 Control and Monitoring Committee Head Lieutenant Colonel Dr Manaf Al Qahtani and Covid-19 Task Force head Dr Jameela Salman.

The Health Ministry has also launched an online portal for people to check on the results of Covid-19 tests conducted.

The importance of community partnership has also been highlighted by Covid-19 Control and Monitoring Committee Head Lieutenant Colonel Dr Manaf Al Qahtani.

He said containment, mitigation and suppression were key phases of limiting the spread of the virus.

He explained that Bahrain was now in the mitigation phase during which a number of measures have been taken in the last three weeks.
