850 random Covid-19 tests conducted across the kingdom

The Health Ministry, in co-ordination with local authorities, continues to conduct random Coronavirus (Covid-19) tests throughout the kingdom in order to safeguard the well-being of citizens and residents.

On Wednesday, as part of the ongoing series of testing, mobile units collected random samples from citizens and residents in A'Ali, Hidd, Sanabis, Riffa and Juffair, conducting a total of 850 tests for the virus.

Throughout the process, the mobile testing units share information regarding Covid-19 and the ways in which infections can be avoided. This is part of the ministry’s mandate to ensure that all segments of society understand the threat of the virus and are contributing towards its mitigation by wearing a facemask in public, practicing social distancing, and washing their hands frequently and thoroughly, in addition to using an alcohol-based sanitiser.

The ministry reminds citizens and residents of the importance of adhering to health recommendations that encourage all to stay at home when possible and to practice social distancing, particularly when practicing outdoor sports, at social events and at places where goods and services are bought and sold, in order to safeguard public health.
