A TOTAL of 55 vehicles and 28 bikes have been confiscated for violations related to reckless driving.
The Traffic Directorate said yesterday that the owners, mostly teenagers, committed traffic offences that could have led to fatal accidents.
It also emphasised the importance of parents monitoring their children to ensure their safety and the safety of others on Bahrain’s roads.
“Legal action has been taken against (the owners of) 55 vehicles and 28 bikes that have committed traffic offences,” said the directorate.
“Teenagers drove these vehicles and motorbikes recklessly in their neighbourhoods and highways, which put their and other people’s lives at risk.
“The directorate emphasises the importance of parents monitoring their children to ensure their safety and the safety of others on the streets.
“In addition, they should only leave the house in case of emergency due to the coronavirus disease.
“Reckless driving could lead to fatal accidents.”
