KSA Sports will exclusively broadcast the world’s greatest endurance race, the 24-Hours of Le Mans race, as the circuit goes virtual on gaming platform rFactor 2. This competition will feature 200 of the world’s top drivers and the best eSports sim racers as they face off across 50 teams for a full 24 hours.
The all-star racer line-up includes a quarter of the current Formula 1 field, former Formula 1 racers, IndyCar and Le Mans champions and some of the best sim racers.
The racing event begins today at 4pm Riyadh time and ends Sunday at 4pm. Saudi Minister of Sports HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki AlFaisal, a former racer himself who took part in the 2011 and 2017 Le Mans races, will give two live interviews today at 5pm Riyadh time and Sunday at 3pm.
The virtual race is being sponsored by the Saudi Arabian Federation for Electronic and Intellectual Sports (SAFEIS) who are fresh off organising Gamers Without Borders, the biggest charity gaming event ever. Uniting 24 million gamers across 80 countries, Gamers Without Borders donated more than $10m to international organisations leading the fight against COVID-19.
