The Eiffel Tower reopens for locals

According to Reuters (Paris) people can now visit the Eiffel Tower once again and dance away on its summer terrace.

The tower shut in mid-March due to the outbreak and re-opened to the public on June 25.

Its terrace, which sits 57 metres above ground, has a lounge that can accommodate 300 to 350 people during DJ sets every Thursday and Friday evening until August 28. All visitors still have to wear face masks and practice social distancing.

The Eiffel Tower usually gets about seven million visitors a year, 75 per cet of which are foreign tourists.
