The Health Ministry has announced the death of a 57-year-old Bahraini woman from Covid-19 today.
This takes the total number of fatalities to 109 in the kingdom.
The ministry has expressed its condolences to the family of the deceased.
Bahrain yesterday recorded 471 new cases of Covid-19, alongside 597 recoveries.
The ministry revealed that of yesterday’s 471 new cases, 274 were expatriate workers, 190 contacts of local cases and seven travel-related.
It said an additional 597 people recovered from Covid-19 yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 28,425.
Of the 4,407 active cases, 118 are receiving treatment and 47 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered 32,941 cases, including active cases, recoveries and deaths.
The kingdom has also conducted 666,248 tests.
