The students were trained under the tutelage of internationally certified coach and Taekwondo athlete Fajar Al-BinAli, who is also the board member of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council, and International Referee and certified coach, Master Waseem Ahmed.

Medals were won by Rawan Al Saad – first place in Elite Round (ahead of Columbia (2nd) and US (4th) athletes), Noora Zainal – third place in Elite Round, both in the Mental Disability division; and Hanook Aziz – a 3rd Dan black belt (he is the first deaf black belt in Bahrain) - first place in Elite Round (ahead of India (2nd) and Russia (3rd) athletes in the Hearing Impaired division). With these three wins, ‘Sport to Door Free Spirit Dojang’ secured the first place overall in the Para Poomsae event.  In the Regular Poomsae event, Nimita Parik secured Fourth place in Elite Round in the Kids Black Belt division, and Saud AlHafedh, a recent Covid-19 recoveree, secured Third place in the Final (pre-elite) Round in the Junior Black Belt division.

This was the first international participation and win for Bahraini disabled athletes in any Martial Art form.
