
According to US-based ice-cream empire Ben & Jerry’s, the best practice is to store their tubs is upside down.
Apparently, its helps avoid unpleasant “freezer burn”.
That’s causes chunky, watery ice crystals on the top and that ruins the sweet flavour and texture of the ice cream.
It’s even more likely to happen if you take the tub out of the freezer to serve, and then forget to put it straight back again.
Just be careful when flipping your tub that it isn’t melted first.
