A new animated Ninja Turtles

According to The Insider, Seth Rogen will be reviving the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" franchise.

He believes he is the best man for the job because of his experience doing teen movies.

He has written high school comedies like Superbad and produced movies like Blockers and Good Boys.

Now, he’s’ producing an animated reboot of the heroes in a half shell for Nickelodeon. It will be directed by Jeff Rowe and written by the Neighbors franchise screenwriter Brendan O'Brien.

Rogen, who believes he is up for the challenge, said: "When I look at 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,' the teenage part was weirdly what stuck out to me the most.  I think one thing we've been pretty consistently good at over the years is creating material about teenagers. That was really what became exciting for us is how do we make a great action-adventure movie that's also a great teenage movie."

Rogen and Goldberg met with the creatives on the movie to work out the movie's plot and the duo also said they're taking it seriously.
