644 new Covid-19 cases registered in Bahrain on Sunday


MANAMA: Bahrain yesterday recorded 644 new cases of Covid-19, alongside 301 recoveries and three fatalities, reports GDNOnline.

Three Bahraini women, aged 76, 77 and 78, died from the novel coronavirus yesterday, which takes the death toll to 199.

The Health Ministry revealed that of yesterday’s 644 new cases, 87 were expatriate workers, 546 contacts of local cases, and 11 travel-related.

It said that an additional 301 people recovered from Covid-19 yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 50,946.

The ministry added that of the 4,270 active cases, 90 were receiving treatment and 32 in critical condition. Bahrain has so far registered a total of 55,415 cases including active cases, recoveries and deaths. The kingdom has also conducted 1,172,808 tests for Covid-19.
