From today we are accepting new volunteers – we have decided to increase the trials with a further 1,700 volunteers, said National Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus (Covid-19) monitoring committee head Lt Col Dr Manaf Al Qahtani during a press conference today.
He said, “We have 6,000 volunteers in six weeks on the third phase of clinical trials.
“We have to thank the volunteers who took the initiative from the first day because by their volunteering they have left a fingerprint in the medical field and most importantly for humanity.”
He added: "The trials have been approved by Sinopharm – it proves the efficiency and determination of Team Bahrain."
