Bahrain yesterday registered 487 new Covid-19 cases, alongside 662 recoveries and three fatalities.
Two men – a Bahraini, 81, and an expatriate, 56, – and a Bahraini woman, 64, died from the coronavirus yesterday, taking the death toll to 245.
The Health Ministry revealed that of yesterday’s 487 new cases, 135 were expatriate workers, 343 contacts of local cases and nine travel-related.
It said an additional 662 people recovered from Covid-19 yesterday, taking the total number of recoveries to 63,549.
The ministry added that of the 6,054 active cases, 149 were receiving treatment and 61 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 69,848 cases, including active cases, recoveries and deaths. The kingdom has also conducted 1,418,129 tests for the coronavirus.
