The Smile Initiative by Bahrain Future Society for Youth provides psychosocial support to children with cancer and their parents in Bahrain.
It recently revealed that there was a high turnout of individuals, companies and institutions purchasing the "Golden Ribbon". Buying, as well as, wearing the ribbon, which is featured on their website www.smileofbahrian.org, supports children with cancer in Bahrain.
The Initiative states that this high turnout caused them to extend exhibiting the ribbon on the website until the end of next October, to enable all supporters and the public to purchase it.
Sabah Abdul Rahman Al Zayani, chairman of Future Society for Youth, said that this is part of the awareness campaign - Our Children as Gold 7 - that was launched by the Initiative to spread awareness on childhood cancer among diverse segments of society, as well as to support children with cancer in various circumstances.
Talabat, which is the logistical sponsor for the campaign, is delivering 10,000 pieces of this ribbon to individuals, institutions and companies requesting it.
