Today marks the 40th birthday for Timothy Filiga Cahill aka Tim Cahill, all time favourite Aussie football player.
Tim had eight outstanding years at Everton after spending six years at Millwall, later he moved to the US, China and India. Tim played one season for Melbourne City.
The Australian legend made his international debut in the summer Olympics 2004 in Athens. Later on he represented the Aussies for four consecutive WC tournaments 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018. He played in three Asian Cups, clinching one in 2015 after eleven years of his very first trophy in 2004 when Australia hosted the OFC Nations Cup.
His astonishing goal against Netherlands in the group stage for the 2014 World Cup tournament hosted in Brazil was nominated for a Puskas award.
