
The number of daily Covid-19 cases in Bahrain hit a new high of 2,415 yesterday, alongside 1,466 recoveries and seven fatalities.
Four Bahraini men, aged 86, 80, 83 and 72, two expat men, aged 52 and 50, and a 58-year-old expat woman, died yesterday, taking the death toll to 780.
Of the new cases, 796 were expat workers, 1,608 contacts of local cases and 11 travel-related. An additional 1,466 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 189,962.
Of the 18,551 active cases, 285 are receiving treatment and 207 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 209,293 cases.
The kingdom has conducted 4,432,836 virus tests.
