The number of daily Covid-19 cases in Bahrain hit a new high of 2,858 yesterday, alongside 1,560 recoveries and 14 fatalities.
Nine Bahraini men, aged 62, 63, 67, 58, 76, 75, 46, 78 and 73, and one Bahraini woman, 66, died yesterday, taking the death toll to 794.
Four expats – two men, 41 and 61 and two women, 45 and 51, also died of coronovirus.
Of the new cases, 957 were expat workers, 1,882 contacts of local cases and 19 travel-related.
An additional 1,560 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 191,522.
Of the 19,835 active cases, 349 are receiving treatment and 198 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 212,151 cases. The kingdom has conducted 4,451,037 virus tests. preprocess
