The number of daily Covid-19 cases in Bahrain hit 2,719 yesterday, alongside 1,815 recoveries and 15 fatalities.
Nine Bahrainis, five women, aged 56, 49, 68, 70 and 67, and four men, 71, 46, 67 and 96 died yesterday, taking the death toll to 809.
Six expats – five men, 67, 50, 45, 36 and 46, and one women, 47, also died of coronavirus.
Of the new cases, 877 were expat workers, 1,805 contacts of local cases and 37 travel-related.
An additional 1,815 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 193,337. Of the 20,724 active cases, 394 are receiving treatment and 199 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 214,455 cases.
The kingdom has conducted 4,468,716 virus tests.
