The number of daily Covid-19 cases in Bahrain hit a new high of 3,177 yesterday, alongside 1,548 recoveries and 11 fatalities, reports GDNOnline.
Nine Bahrainis, five men, aged 90, 61, 62, 80 and 87, and four women, 50, 81, 73 and 52 died yesterday, taking the death toll to 820. Two expats men, 34 and 78 also died of coronavirus.
Of the new cases, 1,071 were expat workers, 2,099 contacts of local cases and seven travel-related.
An additional 1,548 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 194,885.
Of the 22,342 active cases, 362 are receiving treatment and 186 in critical condition.
Bahrain has so far registered a total of 218,047 cases. The kingdom has conducted 4,489,530 virus tests.
