Bahrain Covid-19 Update


The Covid pandemic claimed 20 more lives in Bahrain yesterday, reports GDNOnline.

The Health Ministry said yesterday that 3,051 cases were registered yesterday, alongside 1,970 recoveries.

Fourteen Bahrainis, seven men, aged 78, 68, 66, 47, 79, 60 and 78, and seven women, 68, 80, 93, 81, 83, 38 and 47 died yesterday, taking the death toll to 902.

Six expats, aged 52, 55, 48, 67, 47 and 33, also died of coronavirus.

Of the new cases, 1,184 were expat workers, 1,861 contacts of local cases and six travel-related.

An additional 1,970 people recovered, taking the total recoveries to 201,683.

Of the 26,883 active cases, 448 are receiving treatment and 250 in critical condition.

Bahrain has so far registered a total of 229,468 cases.

The kingdom has conducted 4,568,702 virus tests.
