Covid-19 restrictions in Bahrain, which were set to end on Friday, have been extended for an additional week.
The details were announced by the Health Ministry following directives by the executive committee working at reducing a recent spike in cases.
Malls and commercial shops will remain closed until July 2, while online sales and delivery will continue as before.
Dining at restaurants will also remain suspended as services will be limited to take-away orders and deliveries while gyms, pools, entertainment facilities and fitness halls in addition to cinemas will remain closed.
