His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince Prime Minister, monitored the safety of the passengers and crew onboard Gulf Air flight GF215 from Bahrain to Kuwait who were evacuated upon arrival yesterday evening after a ‘minor incident’ during landing.
All 62 passengers and seven crew members onboard the flight were safely evacuated and escorted to the airport terminal, the national carrier said.
The Crown Prince Prime Minister thanked the airline’s crew for taking timely action.
He also praised Kuwaiti authorities for the support extended to the cabin crew which helped them handle the incident without loss of lives.
He also appreciated Kuwait’s efforts to protect the safety of passengers and provide them with the necessary facilities.
“We are currently working with the authorities to identify the cause of the incident,” Gulf Air said.
