Children aged 12 and under arriving in Bahrain from green-list countries will have to quarantine for only five days instead of 10, it has been announced.
The Civil Aviation Affairs also announced tonight that children aged six and under arriving from green-list countries will not need to undergo PCR tests, while those aged between six and 12 would have to undergo normal PCR testing as earlier announced.
The decision is based on recommendations by the National Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (Covid-19).
The announcement also added that on arrival all unvaccinated students and trainees in schools, kindergartens, nurseries, rehabilitation centres and homes, and training institutes and centres will be provided with online education for 10 days.
"All children from red-list countries will continue to stay in quarantine for 10 days,” said a statement.
The new rules are effective from Sunday (August 29).
