SHIPPING containers, abandoned trucks and leftover metal scrap material were removed from the Southern Governorate as part of a massive clean-up campaign.
The drive, organised by the Southern Municipality, was aimed at removing large objects obstructing public roads and inner roads within residential areas.
Heavy machinery, shipping containers and abandoned scrap vehicles were cleared from Al Hajiyat and Nuwaidrat as they were considered violations under the 1996 Operation of Public Roads Law.
