All Bahraini visitors staying at a blaze-stricken Syrian hotel in Sayeda Zainab are safe although some suffered from smoke inhalation, the Bahrain Embassy in Damascus said today.
Reports cited that one person was killed and nine others injured in a fire last night at the Pearl of the Orient Hotel in the city located in the Damascus countryside governorate.
Efforts were coordinated to ensure the safety of all Bahraini visitors,” the mission said on its Twitter social media account. There is no Bahrainis among the victims or injured so far." It added that some had suffered from the suffocating smoke.
