The countdown to Bahrain’s participation in the Expo 2020 Dubai has begun.
It will officially open on Friday and run until March 31 – under the slogan “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future.”
Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (Baca) is taking part in the global event with a pavilion themed “Density Weaves Opportunities”.
The authority will hold a ceremony on November 25 on the sidelines of the expo under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad, marking Bahrain’s National Day.
Bahrain’s pavilion will feature four exhibitions showcasing the rich culture and heritage of the kingdom. The shows will run over a period of six months and they are the Sea Exhibition (October 1 to November 30), Weaving Innovation (December 1 to January 9), the Narrative of History (January 10 to February 16) and Sustainable Cities (February 17 to March 31).
Bahrain’s participation in Expo 2020 Dubai is in co-operation with the Economic Development Board as a business partner in addition to Gulf Air, NBB, MOICT, BCCI, Tamkeen, Mumtalakat, BTEA, Export Bahrain and Batelco.
