Reigning champions Al Ahli held off a late charge from Sitra to claim a 95-85 victory as the fourth-week games of the Zain Bahrain Basketball League opened at the Zain Arena in Um Al Hassam today.
Player of the game Maitham Jameel led the winners with 27 points, 12 rebounds and five assists while Anthony McClain chipped in with 24 points, 16 rebounds and two assists.
Sitra's top scorer was Marcel Jones with 35 points, 16 rebounds and nine assists.
Fourth-week games continue on Saturday at the Zain Arena when Al Najma take on Nuwaidrat at 5.30pm and Isa Town clash with Bahrain Club at 7.30pm.
