Bahrain will move to the yellow zone of Covid-19 restrictions from Sunday (December 19) until January 31, 2022, it has been announced.
According to the National Taskforce for Combating the Coronavirus, this precautionary measure is being taken to preserve the health and safety of people across the kingdom.
This comes as the world grapples with the new Omicron variant of the coronavirus, although only one case has been recorded in Bahrain.
This decision could be reviewed later on by the national medical team once further research is conducted by international bodies with clearer results on the new variant (Omicron).
