An optional Covid-19 booster shot is available for adults every nine months from the date of their last booster shot.
National Taskforce for Combating Covid-19 yesterday announced that individuals aged 18 and above can opt for Pfizer-BioNTech or the same vaccine as their previous booster shot.
The green shield on BeAware application will not change to yellow if eligible individuals do not opt for a second or future additional booster shots, it said.
It emphasised the national vaccination campaign’s importance to protect public health, noting that updated protocols are in line with steps taken by Bahrain to address the pandemic.
