Citizens and residents urged to ‘keep capital clean’





Citizens and residents have been urged to keep neighbourhoods clean and tidy.

The Capital Trustees Board yesterday said it had removed 16,838 tonnes of waste during Ramadan last year.

“We have to work together to decrease the amount of waste produced this Ramadan,” said board said in a statement.

“Household waste comprises 92 per cent of all garbage in the Capital Governorate,” it added.
