Bahrain International Airport’s (BIA) passport services have been ranked third in the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2024, after Singapore Changi Airport and Switzerland’s Zurich Airport.
Interior Ministry Under-Secretary for Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa praised the winning of the World’s Best Airport Immigration 2024 award and emphasised the NPRA’s commitment to further enhance the kingdom's status as a pioneering regional hub in air transportation.
The award covers multiple aspects of the arrivals, transfer and departures immigration/border control service, including waiting times, queuing systems, priority lanes and e-gate systems and efficiency as well as courtesy and efficiency of immigration staff.
