Students from the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) volunteered to serve Haj pilgrims this year.
Nine students were among 5,466 health volunteers in Mecca, participating in the Haj Voluntary Health Programme affiliated with the Saudi Health Ministry and the Haj and Umrah Ministry.
The team provided first aid to pilgrims and treated emergency cases until ambulances arrived. The cases handled included cardiac arrest, head and foot injuries, hypoglycaemia, high and low blood pressure.
