Food lovers in Bahrain enjoyed a Master Class with Michelin-starred celebrity Chef Vineet Bhatia in the kitchens of his signature restaurant Rasoi by Vineet at the Gulf Hotel Bahrain Convention & Spa.
The Friday morning culinary session included sharing the secrets of two of his most prized dishes - herb tawa paneer with hazelnut rice and tadka makhani, plus home-smoked honey dill salmon tikka, with cucumber raita and Edamame-mooli sundal.
“It’s such a joy to impart knowledge,” he said. “A lot of banter goes on too and there’s so much more sharing - there’s always good stories that go with food!”
Young mum Hella Fakro was among the 17-strong group of food lovers who attended, and said she enjoyed the experience, found Chef Vineet friendly and engaging and added that she ‘couldn’t wait’ to try out the culinary techniques at home.
Fresh from opening restaurants in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and even inside London’s famous Harrods store, he is soon to set off on a new charitable adventure having already cooked on Mount Everest. Chef Vineet is now planning a trip to the Antarctic to raise funds and awareness of the Heart for India Foundation which helps underprivileged children as well as educating young women and finding them jobs.
He’ll be back in Bahrain next March for at least a week and has plans to refresh the award-winning operation with new sets of uniforms for the front of house staff, a new menu and special self-designed crockery to provide a ‘more sharing, relaxed and fun experience’ for diners.
Rasoi by Vineet, Bahrain has picked up numerous accolades, not only best Indian restaurant but also ‘Best Restaurant’ in the kingdom. Rasoi in Hindi means ‘kitchen’ and the glowing reputation of Vineet’s kitchen in Bahrain continues to grow.
