Election song

The British School of Bahrain’s performing arts director and her musician husband have recorded a 'popoganda' anti-Brexit YouTube recording prior to the United Kingdom's general election.

Lydia Martin provides the vocals to her self-penned lyrics in the video called Divided We Fall which uses war images and a dance routine by Aleksandra Bjelajac - AKA White Shadow - and local children.
The music has been composed and produced by Jason Carter, originally from the English county of Cornwall, who now lives in Saar with Lydia, an English expat from Kent who considers Bahrain to be her ‘adopted country’, and son, Xavi, eight.
Mr Carter described the recording as a ‘little popoganda’ and a ‘response to Brexit and the upcoming elections’.
Thursday’s vote has been labelled the ‘Brexit Election’ highlighting the planned withdrawal of the UK from the European Union which continues to divide the nation. The various political parties offer a leave, renegotiation / new referendum and remain series of choices for the electorate.

“I remember exactly where I was that moment the news came through that the UK might be leaving the EU and my response to other artists at the time was to encourage them to respond and engage,” said Mr Carter. “Now I am following my own advice and whilst I am not the ‘artist’ in this production, I have produced this from scratch both musically and cinematically.”
