Wow! The power of the GDN 'Your Views' page is clear for all to witness in Sannabis this week.
I recall recently reading an angry letter from a neighbour highlighting the amount of crushed newly-laid footpaths as a result of 4x4 vehicles parking indiscriminately when major events are staged at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre.
As preparations are in place for Autumn Fair 2020, Bahrain’s biggest annual consumer products exhibition, it has been heartening to find that the authorities had taken note of the reader's rant as police fencing has now been placed on the paths around the area.
Drivers, please remember, the footpaths are for pedestrians, particularly the many families with young children wanting to walk safely to the venue. There is plenty of space in surrounding wasteland to park your cars.
