GDNlife short story writing competition

GDNlife will shortly launch a short story writing competition.
They'll be a monthly prize and the winning entry will be published in print in the GDN and highlighted online on www.gdnonline.com
Details on the competition will be announced at tomorrow evening's meeting with our contest partners, the Bahrain Writers’ Circle (BWC).
The group was formed in 2011 by former Bahrain resident Robin Barratt, a writer and author who has written hundreds of articles for magazines and newspapers worldwide.
When Robin established the BWC, as it is popularly called, he did so with an idea to encourage writers at all stages of their careers – from people merely hoping to be writers to well-established, published authors and with his quiet charisma he drew scores of writers, bloggers, journalists and publishers to the group. He continues to be involved with the group -wherever his travels take him - and guides, directs and offers advice to members.
The BWC welcomes anyone and everyone interested in the written word. Its current members include authors, poets, bloggers, journalists, magazine editors, freelance writers, commissioned writers, coaches, reporters and publishers.

"You don’t have to be a published writer to join, all you need to be is committed to writing and improving your writing and/or helping and encouraging our members to pursue their writing dreams," a spokesman said.

"This, in essence is what the Bahrain Writers’ Circle stands for and always will."

Note: GDNlife administrator Stanley Szecowka, Editor of GDNonline, is tomorrow night's guest speaker at the group's monthly gathering. I'll be revealing all!
