A book titled End of Days: Predictions and Prophecies about the end of the world, written by Sylvia Browne, predicted the global outbreak of Covid-19. 

It was first published in 2008. A photo of an excerpt from the book is going viral across social media platforms.



"In around 2020 a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and bronchial tubes resisting all known treatments," the excerpt reads.

Following the directives of Prime Minister’s Court Minister and Labour Fund (Tamkeen) board of directors chairman Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Tamkeen announced the launch of a new healthcare support package targeting 750 Bahraini healthcare professionals. This initiative aligns with Bahrain’s government directives to support local medical professionals, enhancing their employment and career development prospects. It also follows the success of the previous healthcare support package launched last year, which benefited more than 700 Bahrainis in collaboration with the Supreme Council of Health (SCH).

A major environmental campaign is aiming to collect huge amounts of plastic waste, alongside other recyclable material, during the annual processions season, with proceeds from the sales going towards helping the disabled. The nationwide initiative has been spearheaded by the Northern Municipality under the Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Ministry, in co-operation with the Bahrain Association for Parents and Friends of the Disabled. Northern Municipality director-general Lamya Al Fadhala highlighted the strategic vision behind this year’s campaign, which carries the theme ‘Recycling to Elevate’.

A milestone has been achieved in Bahrain’s housing financing schemes as more than 10,000 applicants have had their requests approved over the past three years, according to a top minister. A total of 2,584 applications for various housing financing schemes have been approved during the first half of this year, bringing the total number of approved applications since the programme’s launch in 2022 to 10,163, revealed Housing and Urban Planning Minister Amna Al Romaihi.
