Special stickers have been placed at hypermarkets urging people to maintain a safe distance between them to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Disease (Covid-19), the GDN news team reports.
The Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry said the hypermarkets were following the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the Health Ministry.
One of these guidelines calls for social distancing measures and boost online shopping services to assist customers.
The ministry added that body temperature of shoppers needs to be measured and sanitisers provided to them.
“All shopping carts should be cleaned and sterilised before and after use by customers,” said a ministry statement.
Meanwhile, LuLu Hypermarket has put safe distance stickers across all its branches.
