Eighteen flights have been designated from tomorrow until May 28 to bring back Bahrainis stranded abroad due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the GDN's Mohammed Al A’ali reports.
This was revealed by Parliament’s foreign affairs, defence and national security committee chairman MP Mohammed Al Sissi, who said that an agreement has been reached with the government.
He made the announcement on his Twitter account, while he and other MPs are still holding an urgent meeting to resolve the issue of the stranded Bahrainis.
Present in the meeting, which is being held at the National Assembly Complex in Gudaibiya, are Health Minister Faeqa Al Saleh, Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al Zayani and Parliament and Shura Council Affairs Minister Ghanim Al Buainain along with senior government officials.
It comes as hundreds of Bahrainis are still stranded in Iran, Jordan, southeast Asia and across Europe.
