Businessmen and owners of warehouses who illegally hoard fruits and vegetables could be jailed for up to five years, the GDN's Noor Zahra reports.
This was announced by the Public Prosecution today following a raid on three warehouses on Saturday by inspectors from the Industry, Commerce and Tourism Ministry in response to complaints of sky-high prices of fruit and vegetables.
Prosecutors warned that violators could be jailed for up to five years and fined a minimum of BD5,000.
