Bahrain’s public transportation has taken a wide range of measures to protect its passengers against Covid-19.
Hand sanitisers have been installed in all public buses, while social distancing is strictly enforced by limiting the number of seats for passengers.
This is to ensure they are seated at a distance from each other.
In addition, a team of supervisors at bus stations constantly monitor if the bus drivers and passengers wear face masks at all times.
According to the Transportation and Telecommunications Ministry there are 26 bus routes that cover 77 per cent of the populated areas in Bahrain.
